The "China-Europe Science and Technology Management Personnel Exchange Program • Entering Xi'an" exchange meeting was held at iHarbour on Sept 15. Representatives of government departments, universities, research institutes, and science and technology enterprises in Shaanxi province, and representatives from science and technology administrative departments and research institutions from 15 European countries participated.

Bie Zhaohong, member and executive vice-president of the Standing Committee of the CPC Xi'an Jiaotong University (XJTU) Committee, stated that in recent years, the university has carried out various exchanges and cooperated with European countries, producing a series of internationally influential scientific research achievements.

Pedro Russo, director of the Portuguese National Agency for Science and Technology, stated that China's outstanding achievements in the field of science and technology innovation, especially Shaanxi's profound historical culture and vigorous innovation vitality, are impressive.

Portugal has always attached great importance to its scientific and technological cooperation with China and looks forward to taking the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and the European Union as an opportunity to further expand the in-depth cooperation between the two sides in areas of common concern, such as climate change, marine technology, and digital innovation.

It is hoped that both sides will build joint research platforms, strengthen youth scientist exchange programs, and cope with global challenges through knowledge sharing and collaborative innovation, making contributions to building a human science and technology community with a shared future.

In the case sharing session, Liu Lei, director of the department of foreign cooperation and exchange of the Shaanxi Provincial Department of Science and Technology, discussed important details related to Shaanxi's cooperation with Europe.

Chen Xiaoming, vice dean of XJTU-POLIMI Joint School, introduced the school's joint operation with Italy. Eric Lichtfouse, a foreign expert from the School of Energy and Power Engineering of XJTU, shared a cooperation case.

Qiao Jichao, vice dean of the School of Mechanics and Civil Engineering of Northwestern Polytechnical University, shared instances of the school's cooperation with Europe. Zhao Jiasheng, director of Public Affairs Policy Market of LONGi Green Energy Technology Co, discussed the company's cooperation with Europe.
