XJTU holds 62nd track and field games
Students compete in XJTU's 62nd BYD Cup Track and Field Games.
The BYD Cup 62nd Track and Field Games of Xi'an Jiaotong University (XJTU) commenced on May 16 at the Xingqing Campus track and field stadium. The two-day event involved 76 teams comprising over 18,000 athletes, as well as more than 300 referees and volunteers.

A grand mass calisthenics performance, an indispensable highlight of the games, featured teams of XJTU faculty and students. Participants included members from the university's faculty, as well as aerobics and dance, gymnastics, student dance, student fitness, and student dragon and lion dance associations.

Additionally, students from the School of International Education and Lizhi College, along with those specializing in martial arts, rhythmic gymnastics, and aerobics, were also represented. Students from Xi'an University of Posts & Telecommunications also celebrated the grand opening.

After the opening ceremony, students and faculty delivered synchronized and spirited group radio calisthenics demonstrations, showcasing the university's dynamic spirit.

Beyond a competitive platform, the games highlighted the outcomes of XJTU's integration of sports with education. Guided by the principle of "health first", the university is developing a comprehensive sports education system that combines curriculum, competitions, and clubs.
XJTU will further deepen sports education practices and channel youthful energy into national sports development and rejuvenation.
