University representatives share insights on digital education and collaboration with companies.

The Shanghai Cooperation Organization University (SCO University) Presidents' Forum and the Digital and Intelligent Education Forum were held on May 13 at Xinjiang University. The forums were hosted by Xi'an Jiaotong University (XJTU) in its capacity as the Chinese Presidential Office of the SCO University, with Xinjiang University serving as the co-organizer.

The presidents' forum centered on digital education, company-university integration, and green development. It attracted participation from presidents and education experts representing 86 universities across SCO member states, who delivered reports and discussed pathways for educational digital transformation and collaborative innovation in industry-academia integration.

The digital and intelligent education forum focused on educational reform and innovative development in the digital-intelligence era. Eighteen educational informatization practitioners from domestic and international universities shared their experience and insights.

The forum emphasized innovative approaches to digital-intelligent education and its applications in priority cooperation areas within the SCO University framework. Multiple consensuses were reached on implementing digital education development plans.

Participants explored key topics including AI applications for future talent cultivation, company-university collaborative innovation, and digital-intelligent empowerment in internationalizing higher education.

A unanimous agreement emerged on strengthening resource sharing among SCO members, deepening the integration of AI and education, and establishing transnational digital education resource platforms to utilize technology's role in promoting regional educational equity and quality enhancement.
