XJTU delegation visits Uzbekistan to deepen educational cooperation

XJTU enhances cooperation with higher education institutions in Uzbekistan.
Chai Wei, vice president of Xi'an Jiaotong University (XJTU), recently led a delegation to visit New Uzbekistan University and Tashkent State Technical University. The visit aimed to promote deep cooperation in areas such as the integration of industry and education, as well as joint student cultivation.
At New Uzbekistan University, the two parties reached a consensus on dual-degree programs and the establishment of a research and industry center. This collaboration will facilitate the co-construction of an XJTU research and industry center to bolster applied research and technology transfer.
Both sides held in-depth discussions regarding faculty and student exchange programs, the low-altitude economy, and future healthcare, laying a solid foundation for productive cooperation in education and scientific innovation.
At Tashkent State Technical University, the delegation attended an academic cooperation symposium, which focused on academic research, joint publications, and resource sharing. Following the talks, the delegation toured several key laboratories.
This visit has further solidified the foundation for cooperation between XJTU and Uzbekistan's higher education institutions, establishing a new platform for China-Uzbekistan collaborative innovation in science and technology, talent cultivation, and cultural exchanges.
