The national finals of the China International College Students' Innovation Competition (2025) were held from Oct 12 to 15 in Zhengzhou, capital of Central China's Henan province.

Xi'an Jiaotong University (XJTU) once again achieved outstanding results, winning a record-breaking total of 14 gold awards, ranking second among universities nationwide. In addition, XJTU earned two silver awards and one bronze award.

XJT has accumulated a total of 62 gold awards over the past 11 editions of this competition, continuing to rank first among universities nationwide. The international teams recommended by XJTU also performed outstandingly, winning a total of nine gold awards and setting a new record.

This year's competition, which began in May, attracted 6.19 million projects and 24.43 million students from 5,673 universities across 161 countries and regions worldwide, with 4,720 projects advancing to the finals.

XJTU established a competition working group jointly organized by various colleges, departments, and institutes. In January, innovation and entrepreneurship work conferences were held to plan key construction tasks for the innovation and entrepreneurship education practice base.

In March, competition promotion meetings were held at the Schools of Energy and Power Engineering, Electronic and Information Engineering, and Electrical Engineering. By the deadline for competition registration at the end of May, more than 1,000 innovation and entrepreneurship projects and over 7,000 students had registered for Chinese mainland projects, while 72 projects registered for international participation.

By using high-level competitions as a starting point, XJTU is encouraging students to combine learning and research with practical challenges at the scientific and technological frontiers. This approach promotes the deep integration of industry, academia, and research, providing strong support and guarantee for cultivating innovative and entrepreneurial talent.
