XJTU High School celebrates 130 years of educational excellence and innovation
Xi'an Jiaotong University Affiliated High School (XJTU High School) celebrated its 130th founding anniversary and 45th year since resumption with an exhibition at its Qujiang Campus on Sept 28. The event brought together alumni, faculty, students, parents, and educational representatives to honor the school's rich history and discuss future education strategies.

The celebration began with video greetings from alumni and partner institutions worldwide. Principal Zi Yanyang highlighted the school's 130-year journey, emphasizing its role in nurturing responsible and ambitious young talents aligned with national development goals. XJTU High School is renowned for its educational reforms, offering programs like the Qian Xuesen and Artificial Intelligence classes to support personalized student growth.
Yan Junjie, vice-president of Xi'an Jiaotong University, praised the high school's achievements and reaffirmed the university's commitment to supporting its affiliated high school. He emphasized enhancing integrated talent training systems and sharing resources to cultivate innovative talents for national and social development needs.
The event featured speeches from university representatives, alumni, and faculty, who celebrated the school's educational heritage and successes in talent cultivation. To honor dedicated educators, Lifetime Achievement and Outstanding Senior Teacher Awards were presented to retired teachers.
A donation ceremony was held, launching a new education development fund with contributions from enterprises and alumni, ensuring long-term support for the school's growth.
The celebration included a performance by teachers and students, depicting the school's historical milestones through drama, poetry, and music. A public exhibition showcased historical archives and achievements in educational reform and talent training.
