8th International Conference on System Reliability and Safety Engineering held in Xi'an

The SRSE 2026 focuses on cutting-edge topics in system reliability and safety engineering.
The 8th International Conference on System Reliability and Safety Engineering (SRSE 2026) was held from Aug 7 to 10 in Xi'an, Shaanxi province. This year's conference attracted more than 200 experts, scholars, engineering technicians, and graduate students from universities, research institutions, and enterprises.
At the conference – hosted by Xi'an Jiaotong University (XJTU) and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) – attendees took part in in-depth discussions on cutting-edge topics such as system reliability, safety assurance, and intelligent operation and maintenance.
The conference solicited academic papers, special sessions, and presentations globally, organizing 19 special sessions around relevant research directions. Topics included diverse cutting-edge fields such as complex system reliability assessment, AI-enabled reliability engineering, fault diagnosis and predictive maintenance, reliability modeling and degradation analysis, reliability assurance for electronic and optoelectronic systems, and safe and reliable operation of intelligent systems.
The accepted papers covered two major directions: reliability engineering theoretical methods and engineering applications. In terms of theoretical methods, the focus is on key technologies such as reliability modeling, lifetime analysis, fault diagnosis and prediction, safety assessment, and maintenance optimization.
In engineering applications, the focus is on reliability assurance technologies and engineering practices in fields such as aerospace, intelligent manufacturing, electronic information, communication systems, infrastructure, and healthcare.
These research achievements demonstrate the developmental trend of the deep integration of reliability theory with emerging technologies like AI and big data, providing important technical support for the safe and reliable operation of complex systems and the enhancement of industrial reliability levels.
After rigorous peer review, registration, and presentation at the conference, the accepted papers will be published in the SRSE 2026 Conference Proceedings by IEEE and submitted for indexing in databases such as IEEE Xplore, EI Compendex, and Scopus.
