Clarivate Analytics released the 2025 Journal Citation Reports (JCR) on June 17. The Journal of Pharmaceutical Analysis (JPA), hosted by Xi'an Jiaotong University (XJTU), achieved a latest impact factor of 11.2.

This cements its position at the forefront of the Q1 tier, ranking 15th out of 356 journals in the Pharmacology & Pharmacy category, putting it within the top 4 percent globally. Additionally, JPA secured a 2025 CiteScore of 12 in the Scopus database, marking its eighth consecutive year ranking first among 52 academic journals worldwide in the Health Professions: Pharmacy field.

Since its inception in 2011, JPA has been dedicated to providing a high-level academic exchange platform for researchers and professionals in pharmacy and related fields worldwide, growing into a pharmaceutical journal with significant international influence. The journal has established a strong global network of editorial board members and peer reviewers spanning more than 70 countries and regions.

JPA is currently indexed in 16 major domestic and international databases, including SCIE, PubMed, Scopus, and CSCD. It has also been selected for the "English Leading Journals Project" under Phase II of the China Action Plan for Excellence in Science and Technology Journals (one of only 50 journals nationwide) and has been named one of the "Most Internationally Influential Academic Journals of China" (top 5 percent) for eight consecutive years since 2018.
