XJTU's students win 11 awards in the competition.

The 2025 China University Student Mechanical Engineering Innovation and Creativity Competition – the 14th National Finals of the Digital Design Competition for Mechanical Products, recently concluded in Nanchang, capital of East China's Jiangxi province.

Students from Xi'an Jiaotong University (XJTU) performed outstandingly, winning seven first prizes, three second prizes, and one third prize. The university also performed prominently in the competition organization work and won the best organization award.

The competition attracted more than 2,000 teams from over 200 universities, including XJTU, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, and Tongji University.

XJTU organized a team of instructors to guide students to participate in the competition. Since the launch of the competition in April, each participating team had carried out basic research around the topic selection, proposed solutions to key difficulties, and clarified design goals.

Through multiple rounds of discussion and collaboration with instructors, they optimized their work models, completed the design documentation, and finalized the work plan – ultimately achieving excellent results in the competition.

The achievements of XJTU in this competition reflect the university's efforts to cultivate students' innovation and entrepreneurship abilities, and promote innovation and entrepreneurship achievements by utilizing the innovation and entrepreneurship education practice bases.
