The Student Employment and Guidance Center of Xi’an Jiaotong University is a functional department working under the leadership of XJTU Employment Guidance Committee to implement the national policies for college graduates’ employment by offering service, guidance, education and management.
The center has three subdivisions: The Information and Marketing Department, the Employment Management Department and the General Office.
The center undertakes both internal and external tasks.
The external tasks are:
*Collecting information both at home and abroad about employment and graduate schools;
*Coordinating with the Office of Education of Shaanxi Province in major employment and recruitment activities;
*Connecting graduates and employers;
*Establishing bases for students’ social practice, internship and employment;
*Providing quality service for employers’ recruitment.
The internal tasks are:
*Helping students establish a correct concept of employment and success;
*Fostering students’ practical abilities;
*Raising students’ comprehensive qualities;
*Providing students with diversified information concerning career planning, job selection, further studies and the like;
*Guiding students in job-hunting, further studies and business startups;
*Offering quality services for graduates in their employment procedures
