International youth attend a lecture on the history of Xi'an.
The 2026 XJTU Silk Road Summer Camp concluded at Xi'an Jiaotong University (XJTU) on July 16. Since its launch in 2017, the camp has engaged a total of 1,838 participants worldwide, establishing itself as a highly influential brand for cultural and youth exchange between China and other nations under the University Alliance of the Silk Road.
This year's camp brought together 56 students and teachers from five countries. During the two-week camp, participants took Chinese language courses and visited the National Demonstration Center for Experimental Mechanical Engineering Education to experience the charm of engineering innovation.
With a focus on artificial intelligence, the "Silk Road Lecture" hosted seven specialized science lectures, where professors delivered presentations on the innovative applications of AI in biomedicine, data science, and intelligent manufacturing.

Venturing outside the campus, the participants visited the Geely Auto factory and Revopoint 3D, gaining a firsthand look at Xi'an's advanced manufacturing and technological innovation.
Cultural immersion activities ran throughout the program, including calligraphy, stone rubbing, lacquer fan making, martial arts, and tours of the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda and the Great Tang All Day Mall while wearing traditional hanfu.
The participants also visited the Museum of the Terracotta Army and Horses of Qin Shi Huang, where they tried their hand at DIY terracotta warrior crafting and enjoyed a shadow play, allowing international youth to physically touch and feel the profound depth of Chinese civilization through immersive experiences.
