Xi'an Jiaotong University celebrated its 2025 Winter Graduate Commencement on December 26, honoring 1,884 graduates at its Xi'an campus in Shaanxi province, Northwest China.

Vice President Yan Junjie detailed the awarding of degrees and the career prospects of graduates. After evaluations on September 24 and December 17, the university conferred 967 doctoral and 917 master's degrees. Graduates are set to join esteemed institutions, medical and health sectors, Fortune 500 companies, state-owned enterprises, research units, and government agencies.

Yan urged graduates to align their personal goals with national aspirations, encouraging them to strive for excellence and contribute to the Chinese Dream of national rejuvenation.

Wu Sifan, an award-winning graduate from the Department of Telecommunications, delivered a speech representing the students. He emphasized that their education has fostered a deep understanding of the synergy between scientific research and national needs. Wu reminded his peers that graduation is a new beginning, as they seek to contribute their knowledge and efforts to national development.

President Zhang Liqun, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, congratulated the graduates and expressed gratitude to their lecturers, families, and friends. He highlighted the university's recent achievements in talent cultivation, discipline advancement, technological innovation, and industry-education integration. These successes, he noted, are the result of collective dedication.

Zhang encouraged graduates to retain the ideals and enthusiasm they brought to the university. He urged them to passionately pursue their interests, steadfastly follow their chosen paths, and contribute to the nation's strength and rejuvenation, taking responsibility for their lives, families, and society.
