XJTU students win one first prize, two second prizes, and six third prizes at the competition.

The finals of the field-programmable gate array (FPGA) innovation design track of the 2025 National College Student Embedded Chip and System Design Competition were recently held at the Nanjing Integrated Circuit Training Base.

Participating teams independently selected their projects and engaged in open-ended, autonomous design competitions using the FPGA development platform designated by the organizing committee.

The competition attracted over 1,000 teams from across the country, with 305 qualifying for the finals through preliminary reviews and competing for various honors. Xi'an Jiaotong University (XJTU) won ‌one first prize, two second prizes, and six third prizes‌.

The XJTU team of Hu Hepeng, Zhang Haodong, and Cheng Zhaojie was recommended by the organizing committee and invited to present their work at the ‌International Conference on Field Programmable Technology (FPT 2025)‌. XJTU was also awarded the ‌Outstanding Organization Award.

With support from the Practical Teaching Center, XJTU's Faculty of Electronic and Information Engineering established an innovation and entrepreneurship education practice base for electronic information majors. Under the guidance of the Graduate School, the faculty also established an embedded chip and system design competition studio to provide specialized support for the competition.

Together, the practice base and studio fostered undergraduate-graduate collaboration, streamlined student registration, ensured project support, invited internal experts for guidance, and handled all logistical details, laying a strong foundation for enhancing competition performance.
