XJTU wins outstanding paper award at USENIX NSDI 2025
XJTU's advanced network system team receives the Outstanding Paper Award at USENIX NSDI 2025.
At the 22nd USENIX Symposium on Networked Systems Design and Implementation (USENIX NSDI 2025) recently held in Philadelphia, the United States, the advanced network system team from the School of Computer Science at Xi'an Jiaotong University (XJTU) won the Outstanding Paper Award at USENIX NSDI 2025.
Their paper redesigned the classical binary decision diagram for network multi-domain matching decisions and proposed a new data structure called a "network decision diagram", improving the time and space efficiency of network verification by several orders of magnitude.
In August 2024, the advanced network system team received the Best Paper Honorable Mention Award at ACM SIGCOMM 2024.
The paper introduced a network configuration verification method named Expresso, which reasons network configurations to identify potential errors and provides new solutions for issues like route leaks and route hijacking.
XJTU's advanced network system team wins the Best Paper Honorable Mention Award at ACM SIGCOMM 2024.
USENIX NSDI and ACM SIGCOMM are recognized as the top two academic conferences in computer networking, with low acceptance rates – USENIX NSDI 2025 received 666 submissions and accepted 83 papers, yielding a 12.5 percent acceptance rate.
The advanced network system team at XJTU is affiliated to the Ministry of Education Key Lab for Intelligent Networks and Network Security. Over the past five years, team members have undertaken over 10 national projects and more than 10 corporate collaborations with companies like Huawei and ByteDance.
They won one first prize for scientific and technological progress from the Chinese Institute of Electronics, received Huawei Spark Awards six times (the most in China), and earned the 2024 Huawei Excellent Cooperation Project Award.
