The opening ceremony for the 4th Xi'an Jiaotong University Cherry Blossom Festival was held at the Xingqing Campus on Friday afternoon.

The festival, which runs until April 6, features 6 themed checkpoints, 11 themed landscapes, and 21 themed activities.

Participants can explore historical artifacts at the checkpoints, listen to classical poetry, try fun numerical games, paint spring scenery, write messages to the cherry blossoms, and try out AI technology. The goal of the festival is to present Xi'an Jiaotong University's beautiful campus environment, rich cultural heritage and vibrant youthfulness, offering a visual and cultural feast for students and faculty.

The themed checkpoints are located at sites including the museum, the library, the mathematics building and the East-West Garden. Participants can take part in activities at each location, and upon successful completion, will receive exquisite stamps.

Poetry enthusiasts can look forward to the 7th "Cherry Blossom Cup" poetry competition; art-loving youths can participate in the Cherry Blossom Hanfu Festival on March 30th, strolling through a sea of flowers in traditional attire. Additionally, there will be activities such as the "Little Cherry Blossom" IP parade, the Silken Spring Art Exhibition, various online contests for beautiful images and writings, covering cultural, artistic, family-friendly, and charitable domains to cater to diverse interests.

Products on offer include cherry blossom-colored felt bags, fragrant cherry blossom soaps, delicate and practical bookmarks, cardholders, creatively designed paper-cut notebooks, as well as school spirit-bearing stickers and Xi'an Jiaotong University building blocks, allowing people to bring back beautiful memories of the cherry blossom season.
