On March 25, the top story on CCTV's Xinwen Lianbo news program featured a segment titled "Deepening Reform and Innovation to Advance Integrated Development of Education, Science, and Talent", spotlighting Xi'an Jiaotong University’s (XJTU) efforts in pioneering integrated innovation across these three pillars.

This year's two sessions emphasized the vital role of education, science, and talent in advancing Chinese modernization, calling for strengthened synergy to foster an environment where talent thrives and is fully utilized.

XJTU is accelerating progress in fundamental and interdisciplinary fields, and building joint innovation platforms that unite universities, enterprises, and local governments. At the Western China Science and Technology Innovation Harbour, the university has partnered with 85 leading enterprises to form a deeply integrated innovation consortium focused on corporate R&D needs in embodied intelligence and energy and power systems.

Lu Jianjun, secretary of the CPC XJTU committee, expressed the university's ambition to cultivate a thriving innovation ecosystem in western China. He highlighted the importance of establishing platforms for venture capital and technology transfer, integrating innovation and industrial chains, attracting capital, and sharing talent resources – all in support of national scientific self-reliance and regional economic development.
