With the arrival of Chinese New Year, Xi'an Jiaotong University (XJTU) received a festive greeting letter from the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan. The letter extended new year wishes to Lu Jianjun, secretary of the CPC XJTU Committee, and all faculty and students, expressing a desire to further strengthen cooperation and open a new chapter together in 2025.

To implement the cooperation consensus between China and Tajikistan, XJTU's National Technology Transfer Center arranged for a delegation in 2023 to visit the Tajik Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan, and other institutions, reaching a preliminary agreement on comprehensive collaboration.

In October 2024, Wang Wen, the center's director, visited the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan on behalf of XJTU. Both sides signed a memorandum of understanding to jointly establish an integrated platform for science and technology talent, including a new energy vehicle institute, an IT institute, and a mineral resource testing center, contributing to Tajikistan's development of a modern technology industry system.

In November 2024, Lu met with Khushvakhtzoda Kobiljon Khushvakht, president of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan, to discuss deepening exchanges and collaboration.
