Narxoz University and Xi'an Jiaotong University Strengthen Cooperation in Personnel Training and International Exchange

As part of enhancing international ties, a working meeting was held between Narxoz University and Xi'an Jiaotong University (China) at the end of 2024, with the participation of leading experts and educational program leaders.

Xi'an Jiaotong University was represented by Shen Zhiwei, Vice President, Wu Feng, Professor at the School of Journalism and New Media, Sofia Ushurua, Professor at the School of Law, and Pei Rui, Staff Member of the Department of International Cooperation and Exchange.

Narxoz University was represented by Aigerim Raimzhanova, Vice President for Development and International Affairs, Ermek Chukubaev, Associate Professor, Head of the International Relations educational program, Gulmira Sultenbaeva, Professor, Head of the Political Mass Communications educational program, and Asiya Kuzembayeva, Associate Professor, Head of the Master's program Modeling and Forecasting in the Field of International Relations Using Big Data.

During the discussions, the latest trends, challenges, and innovative approaches in specialist training were addressed, as well as opportunities for joint research in the fields of international relations and media communications, and the joint training of students. One of the key outcomes of the meeting was the decision on the first steps of cooperation. In particular, students from Xi'an Jiaotong University will participate in the Summer School at Narxoz University, which will take place from July 5 to 15, 2025. Additionally, students and faculty members will participate in the Winter School of Journalism and Communication at the School of Law and Public Administration, which will be held in Almaty from February 26 to 28, 2025.

The cooperation opens new educational opportunities for students, expands their international perspectives, fosters cultural dialogue, and lays the foundation for joint scientific work in priority areas.
