The National Science and Technology Conference, National Science and Technology Awards Conference, and Academician Conference of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Chinese Academy of Engineering were held in Beijing on June 24.

Xi'an Jiaotong University (XJTU) received 11 National Science and Technology Awards, and XJTU faculty were the primary contributors on eight projects, ranking among the top universities in the country.

Additionally, three XJTU professors – Yang Zhibo, Hui Wei and Huang Dong – participated as key contributors in three other award-winning projects.

Of the eight projects with XJTU faculty as primary contributors, three won the National Natural Science Award, two won the National Technology Invention Award, and three won the National Science and Technology Progress Award.
