XJTU holds 5th Silk Road Global Governance Forum
The 5th Silk Road Global Governance Forum, jointly organized by the Center for Asia-Europe Studies, the School of Public Policy and Administration, and the Department of Social Sciences Research at Xi'an Jiaotong University (XJTU), was held on June 1 at the Western China Scientific and Technological Innovation Harbour (iHarbour).
The forum was attended by experts and scholars from research institutions and universities such as the Party School of the Central Committee of CPC (National Academy of Governance), Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, China Institute of International Studies and Tsinghua University.
The event was titled "Global Governance from an Interdisciplinary Perspective" and featured four forums. The intensive academic discussions injected new vitality into the development of global governance theories, deepening experts' and scholars' understanding of how to advance national governance systems and strengthen modern governance capabilities.
Zhang Dinghong, member of the Standing Committee and head of the United Front Work Department of the CPC XJTU Committee, welcomed the attending experts on behalf of the university. She noted that this year marks the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the School of Public Policy and Administration and the 40th anniversary of the Institute for Population and Development Studies at XJTU.

At this significant moment, hosting the forum from an interdisciplinary perspective at iHarbour was meant to promote disciplinary and research development through interdisciplinary innovation and help address global governance issues.
Su Zuhui, on behalf of the Research Office of the International Department of the Central Committee of CPC, extended congratulations on the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the School of Public Policy and Administration and the 40th anniversary of the Institute for Population and Development Studies. He hopes that government administrators and experts can work together to tackle the challenges facing global governance, contributing wisdom and strength to the modernization of national governance systems and capabilities.
The Silk Road Global Governance Forum, an annual academic event planned by Xi'an Jiaotong University's Asia-Europe Research Center, not only strengthened academic exchanges within China but also enhanced the university's influence in global governance, international relations, and country and regional studies.
