Cherry blossom festival kicks off in XJTU
Wang Huan, deputy secretary of the CPC XJTU Committee, announces the opening of the cherry blossom festival.
The third Xi'an Jiaotong University (XJTU) Cherry Blossom Festival took place on March 29 and will last until April 3.
XJTU will host a total of five cherry blossom-themed photo spots, nine cherry blossom-themed landscapes, and 22 cherry blossom-themed activities on campus. Other activities cover events such as poetry competitions, hanfu festivals, photography excursions, cultural exhibitions, knowledge contests, and themed markets.
At the opening ceremony, Wang Huan, deputy secretary of the CPC XJTU Committee, said in her speech that this year's cherry blossom festival features rich and distinctive activities that will fully showcase XJTU's beautiful campus environment, profound culture, and vibrant youthful energy. She encouraged teachers and students to step out of their offices, classrooms, and dormitories to experience the beauty of spring.
The following cultural performances kicked off the opening ceremony, including dance shows and a kindergarten chorus. In addition, some students were awarded for their video and painting works fully showcasing Chinese traditional culture.
