XJTU alumni listed among 2023 Highly Cited Researchers

Clarivate recently revealed its 2023 list of Highly Cited Researchers. A total of 6,849 scientists from more than 1,300 institutions in 67 nations and regions were listed, including nine alumni and 15 faculty members from Xi'an Jiaotong University (XJTU).

Cui Zhihua obtained a doctoral degree in control science and engineering at XJTU in 2008 and currently serves as the dean and a professor at the College of Computer Science and Technology at Taiyuan University of Science and Technology.

Huang Jun earned his bachelor's and master's degrees at XJTU from 1992 to 1999. He currently holds the William Bevan Distinguished Professorship in the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science at Duke University in the United States.

Jiao Licheng earned his master's and doctoral degrees at XJTU from 1982 to 1990. He is a Fellow of the European Academy of Sciences and an IEEE Fellow. He currently serves as the Huashan Distinguished Professor at Xi'an University of Electronic Science and Technology.

Lin Jing studied mechanical manufacturing technology and equipment at XJTU from 1989 to 1993, earning a bachelor's degree. He then obtained master's and doctoral degrees in mechanical manufacturing and automation at XJTU in 1996 and 1999, respectively. He now serves as the dean and a professor at the School of Reliability and Systems Engineering at Beihang University in Beijing.

Suo Zhigang earned his bachelor's degree at XJTU and is currently a tenured professor at Harvard University.

Wei Zhixiang obtained a bachelor's degree and master's degree at XJTU. He now serves as deputy director of the Bureau of Frontier Science and Education of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.

Yang Ronggui earned his bachelor's degree at XJTU, while Yao Yonggang obtained his bachelor's and master's degrees at XJTU. They are currently both professors at Huazhong University of Science and Technology.

Zhou Dequn earned a bachelor's degree in management engineering from XJTU in 1985. He is now a professor and Ph.D. supervisor at the College of Economics and Management at Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics.
