Presidents from the two universities jointly unveil the innovation center.

On Oct 16, the Xi'an Jiaotong University (XJTU)'s Innovation Center in Uzbekistan was officially established at the Tashkent University of Information Technologies in Uzbekistan. Wang Shuguo, president of XJTU, and Makhkamov Bakhtiyor Shukhratovich, rector of Tashkent University of Information Technologies, signed a memorandum of cooperation and jointly unveiled the innovation center.

Wang said that the establishment of the innovation center is an important initiative by XJTU to promote the spirit of the Silk Road and implement the outcomes of the China-Central Asia Summit.

He also expressed hope that the innovation center will help the two parties deepen cooperation in areas such as the cross-border transformation of technological achievements and educational training, including academic and non-academic education.

Makhkamov Bakhtiyor Shukhratovich warmly welcomed the delegation from XJTU. He pointed out that the recent closure of the "2023 University Alliance the Silk Road Forum" saw Tashkent University of Information Technologies join the "University Alliance of the Silk Road," marking a new milestone in the history of friendly exchanges between the two universities and providing a broader platform for their cooperation.

The establishment of the innovation center at Tashkent University of Information Technologies is a tangible symbol of the friendship between the two institutions. He said he hopes that through joint efforts, the collaboration between the two universities will flourish.
