Renewable Energy System and Equipment unveils English edition in iHarbour

On May 5, a ceremony was held by Xi'an Jiaotong University (XJTU) and the Xi'an High Voltage Apparatus Research Institute under the support of Shaanxi Association for Science and Technology in Western China Science & Technology Innovation Harbour (iHarbour)  to mark the launch of the English edition of Renewable Energy System and Equipment (RESE).

The inaugural ceremony brought together academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), XJTU officials, teachers and students from XJTU School of Electrical Engineering, and representatives from all social sectors both in person and via video link.

At the launch ceremony, Liu Jizhen, an academician with the Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE), was hired as head of the RESE journal's 15-person advisory board. Wang Qiuliang, a CAS academician, assumed the post as the journal's editor-in-chief, while Rong Mingzhe, executive deputy secretary of the CPC Xi'an Jiaotong University Committee, acted as the journal's executive editor-in-chief.

XJTU signed a cooperative deal with the Xi'an High Voltage Apparatus Research Institute. The new edition will rely on the superior resources of both parties to expand the new model of school-enterprise cooperation in running journals.

The RESE journal was jointly founded by XJTU and the Xi'an High Voltage Apparatus Research Institute in collaboration with KeAi Publishing House via Elsevier - a Netherlands-based academic publishing company. It is set to target global energy security, frontier research results and cutting-edge technologies in the fields of new energy systems and apparatus, and will publish original academic findings related to renewable energy models, the storage and application of electrical energy, new-type electrical equipment and technology, transport electrification system and facilities, intelligent sensing and control systems.

The RESE journal, scheduled to be formally published in 2024, has been working on the collection of high-quality research findings in the field of new energy systems equipment worldwide.
