On Jan 22, the LCI participates in the New Year celebration held by the Liverpool City Council in Chinatown. The institute provides local citizens with Chinese calligraphy and traditional Chinese printmaking workshops.

On Jan 24, LCI teachers provide students and teachers at Camel College with paper-cutting and traditional Chinese painting.

On Jan 27, the LCI performs Chinese martial arts at Liverpool University.

On Feb 3 and 10, the LCI hosts Chinese language and cultural activities for St. Nicholas and Sacred Heart primary schools in Liverpool.

In the new year, the LCI will continue to promote the dissemination of Chinese language and culture, with a focus on Chinese language teaching and telling Chinese stories, and building a bridge of communication for friendship between the people of China and the UK.
