Mughal proposed to establish a smart air monitoring system to observe the concentration of environmental pollutants in the air, by installing sensors in street lamps and on school campuses, to help supervisors identify high-pollution areas in the city based on data, so as to make targeted improvements.
Her proposal, titled Green Development Performance Evaluation in the Era of Climate Change: A novel perspective for BRICS, aims to quantify and reflect the effectiveness of green development in countries by studying factors such as the level of economic growth and ecological carrying capacity, and help determine the main factors affecting climate change.
"It is a great honor to participate in this event and present my proposal. I am very grateful to the School of Economics and Finance and the School of International Education of Xi'an Jiaotong University, and I am also very grateful to my supervisor, Professor Wen Jun. I will continue to work hard, maintain my enthusiasm for learning, and contribute to the common development of the world with my youth power," said Mughal.
More than 100 proposals have been submitted by outstanding young people from 44 countries. The WiseDemo Campaign 2022 is part of the Global Young Leaders Dialogue (GYLD) program, a platform for young achievers with diverse backgrounds across the globe.
