China-Serbia Higher Education Cooperation Seminar kicks off online
The China-Serbia Higher Education Cooperation Seminar kicked off online on May 19.
It was held by the China Education Association for International Exchange (CEAIE) and co-organized by Xi'an Jiaotong University (XJTU) and University of Belgrade (BU).

In his speech, XJTU President Wang Shuguo expressed his great gratitude for CEAIE, the Chinese Embassy to Serbia and colleagues in the education community.
He pointed out that Chinese and Serbian universities should shoulder the responsibility to promote the profound friendship between both countries and make joint efforts to step up cooperation in research and teaching, explore a new path to stimulate social development through higher education and inculcate a sense of friendly cooperation for the shared future of mankind into young generations.
Wang also invited Serbian participants to visit Xi'an after the pandemic to see the city's development.

She said that under the Belt and Road Initiative and China-CEEC cooperation mechanisms, China-Serbia higher education cooperation has played an important role.
She said she hopes more Chinese and Serbian universities will join the China-CEEC Higher Education Institutions Consortium and join hands in tackling global issues by focusing on advantageous disciplines, innovating cooperation models and enhancing the exemplary role of special programs.

At the seminar, the China-Serbia education cooperation short video entitled Iron-clad China-Serbia Friendship for Win-Win Cooperation was officially released.
Chang Bo, an official in charge of education at the Chinese Embassy to Serbia, called on Chinese and Serbian universities to make good use of various cooperation platforms to create influential exchange programs and strengthen the involvement of youngsters in upholding China-Serbia and China-CEEC friendships.
Guests were engaged in discussions on topics such as talent training, the development of engineering subjects, industry-education-research cooperation and ways to promote educational and cultural exchanges.
