UASR Virtual Summer Course opens to global students
The Virtual Summer Course of the 2021 University Alliance of the Silk Road (UASR) recently opened for free to university teachers and students.
The course was organized by the UASR Secretariat and supported by the International Knowledge Center for Engineering Sciences and Technology under the Auspices of UNESCO (IKCEST), member universities and sub-alliances.
Covering the fields of energy, machinery, materials, medicine, tourism, design, chemical industry, and culture, 77 experts, scholars and industry representatives from 26 universities and institutions in 15 countries and regions around the world are participating in the courses, which are taught in English.
Since the courses were launched, more than 1,800 students from more than 100 universities at home and abroad, such as Xi'an Jiaotong University (XJTU), Tsinghua University, and Polytechnic University of Milan have registered.
As a member of the UASR, the course of "Han-Tang Civilization in Museums and Legal Protection" taught by the XJTU School of Law was first to adopt an online and offline teaching approach.
In order to satisfy the enthusiasm of Chinese and foreign learners, this summer course will be extended to early August. The organization unit will continue to do a good job in course guarantees and evaluation.
