The UN Sustainable Development Goals global action campaign (Local 4 Action Hub) held an online meeting on March 25. Students and teachers of Xi'an Jiaotong University attended the meeting, which was hosted by Emilia Saiz, Secretary-general of United Cities and Local Governments (UCLG).

Wang Zhaojia, a student of XJTU, and representatives from Cuenca, Ecuador, the International Urban Solidarity Fund of Andalusia and the Local 4 Action Hub of Buenos Aires, Argentina shared their experiences at the meeting.

Other representatives of various global organizations put forward opinions and suggestions on the localization of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

After the meeting, UCLG twittered Wang’s speech that more and more young people pay attention to sustainable development and its implementation and she has benefited a lot form the Local 4 Action Hub campaign.

The UCLG Local 4 Action Hub is based on local governments' urban campaigns, which coordinate international partners and push forward the implementation of sustainable development goals. The local government of Xi'an and XJTU were jointly approved as members of the Xi'an Local 4 Action Hub-Youth education and dialogue hub project in February 2020.
