Xi'an Jiaotong University has established extensive relations and exchanges with 320 universities and research institutions in 44 countries and regions, including the United States, Japan, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, New Zealand and Korea. Fruitful collaborations with our partner universities have expanded in different fields and areas, like XJTU-POLIMI Joint School of Design and Innovation, a number of joint laboratories, student-exchange programs, double-degree programs,etc.

The Silk Road University Alliance (UASR), initiated by Xi'an Jiaotong University, has contributed to the common development of human civilization and the opening and cooperation of higher education. It has attracted more than 167 universities from 37 countries and regions.

Department of International Cooperation and Exchanges is the administrative department of Xi’an Jiaotong University responsible for implementing the university’s international strategies and facilitating international exchange and cooperation.

The office of Hongkong, Macao and Taiwan Affairs is the administrative office of Xi’an Jiaotong University responsible for implementing the university’s cooperation and exchanges with the Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan regions.
