Pengkang College
Pengkang College, founded in September 2006, is the first college of the collegiate system within Xi'an Jiaotong University and one of the earliest colleges established in mainland China since this century. It is named after Peng Kang, the first president of Jiaotong University which was established after the founding of the People's Republic of China. The College adheres to the motto proposed by Peng Kang: "active thinking, active learning and active living". The main buildings of Pengkang College are located in the southeast corner of Xingqing Campus of Xi 'an Jiaotong University, which consist of U-shaped dormitories including "East No.17", "East No.18", "East No.19" and "East No.20", currently serving over 3,000 undergraduate students in various disciplines, such as science, engineering and liberal arts.
Pengkang College adheres to the principle of "Four 100s" to lead the future and to kindle active thoughts and culture; adheres to the "Four Strengths" to lay a solid foundation to improve the core capabilities of serving students; adheres to the "Four Characters" to influence students' personalities by osmosis in order to have quality active life. The College, through the perfection of culture education system of second classroom, is committed to providing high quality general education and personalized counseling services.
