On December 19, 2020, XJTU sent representatives to attend the 2020 University Presidents Forum organized by People's Daily Online. The forum, themed  "Making Advances in the 14th Five-year Plan and Achieve Higher-quality Education" , released the 2019-2020 China's Higher Education Rankings of Social Impact that listed XJTU in the top tenfromthree indicators. Specifically, XJTU's social impact, media impact, and research impact rank tenth, seventh, and tenth, respectively.
