XJTU teachers win prizes in the 5th National Teaching Competition for Young Teachers in Colleges and Universities
The 5th National Teaching Competition for Young Teachers in Colleges and Universities was held on October 28-30, 2020. The competition was sponsored by the National Union of Education, Culture, Sports, and Health of China and was undertaken by Nanjing University.
XJTU's Liu Yuan from the School of Marxism Study and Li Xingqiang from the Hospital of Stomatology participated in the competition on behalf of Shaanxi Province. After fierce competition, Liu Yuan won the first prize of the ideological education group, and Li Xingqiang won the second prize of the medical education group, obtaining XJTU's best results since joining this national competition.
The National Teaching Competition for Young Teachers in Colleges and Universities is a key platform for promoting young university teachers' development and training. A high-level teaching competition in China, it includes the most comprehensive disciplines and attracts the largest number of participants. The competition includes 20 complete teaching designs and teaching sections. Contestants are divided into five groups - liberal arts, science, engineering, medicine, and ideological education. This year, 162 contestants from 31 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities) participated in the finals.
