Brooke Russell Astor Curator of Chinese Art of Metropolitan Museum of Art visits XJTU Museum
On the afternoon of September 1, 2019, Jason Zhixin Sun, Brooke Russell Astor Curator of Chinese Art of the Metropolitan Museum of Art (NewYork), visited the XJTU Museum.
Guided by the vice-curator, Mr. Sun toured the XJTU Museum, and exchanged ideas on museum exhibition, social education, and museum development. In a meeting after the tour, Mr. Sun introduced the progress in recent joint exhibitions held by Chinese organizations and the Metropolitan Museum of Art, general development trends of American museums, and the characteristics of museums in American universities. They also discussed about future research cooperation.
Mr. Sun also delivered a report on museum studies.
