On May 10, 2019, the Award Ceremony of 2018 Elsevier Most Cited Chinese Researchers was held by XJTU and Elsevier in Meeting Room 2 of the Main Building in XJTU's Xingqing Campus. Elsevier is a world-renowned corporation of publication and information analytics.

XJTU vice president Rong Mingzhe welcomed all guestsfrom Elsevier and specifically introduced XJTU's development and its progress in the "Double First-Class" construction. Saurabh Sharma, vice president of Elsevier, reviewed the long-term partnership between both sides and expressed the hope of playing a more vital role in the future development of XJTU.
