On November 24, 2018, the 20th T. K. AnnInternational Trade Award ceremony was held at the University of International Business and Economics. The research paper entitled CISG in Chinese Courts: The Issue of Applicabilityand published in The American Journal of Comparative Law by Professor Liu Qiao from the School of Law of XJTU, won the second award for the best research paper.

In 2018, there were 13 best research books and 23 best research papers selected for the prize, including one first prize, 6 second prizes, and 9 honorable mention encouragement awards. Professor Liu Qiao became the first winner of the award from XJTU after the integration of the former Xi’an Jiaotong University, Xi'an Medical University, and Shaanxi University of Finance and Economics in 2000.
