XJTU student wins award in the FLTRP Cup National French Speech Competition for College Students
On November 3, 2018, the National Finals of the FLTRP Cup National French Speech Competition for College Students was held in Yancheng, Jiangsu Province. After two rounds of competition, Pan Jingxuan, an undergraduate in French major at XJTU's School of Foreign Studies ranked third and won the second prize in the national finals. Pan Jingxuan drew “the impact of immigration on a country” among random topics prepared by the organizer in the impromptu speech session. She talked about phenomena she observed in France as an exchange student and discussed cultural diversity and other advantages brought by immigration. She also pointed out problems caused by immigrants integrating into local society. The teachers presented and the judges were impressed by her appropriate views, fluente xpression, and dignified manner.
