On October 29, 2018, the 2018 International Genetically Engineered Machine Competition (iGEM) completed at dawn. XJTU students of the 2016 Pilot Class of Chemical Biology (H) won the gold medal. It was the first time XJTU participated in this international competition and won a gold medal in an international academic competition in the field of life science by undergraduate students.
