Case Western Reserve University visits XJTU to promote in-depth cooperation
On the morning of October 25, 2018, Dr. Daniel Ducoff, vice president of Case Western Reserve University in the U.S., visited XJTU. XJTU vice president Zhang Hanrong met with the delegation in Room 107 of the Science Hall. Vice president Zhang introduced XJTU's history of westward relocation and its latest development, in particular, he introduced the construction progress of the Innovation Harbor and XJTU's philosophy about collaboration between enterprises, universities and research institutes. He expressed hope that both universities would seize opportunities presented by the Innovation Harbor, expand in-depth exchanges and cooperation on the basis of existing academic cooperation and exchange programs, and seek practical cooperation in joint research, joint cultivation for high-level talents and cooperation with well-known enterprises. Joint investment in the construction of the Innovation Harbor was also welcomed. Hopefully, he said that, both universities will work together topromote collaboration between enterprises, universities and research institutes in an international, market-oriented and information-based way.
