On the afternoon of September 27, 2018 the "Splendid 40Years--2018 Discover Shaanxi" press corps, organized by the International Communication Office of Shaanxi Provincial Committee, visited XJTU. The press corps consisted of journalists from the overseas media, including the Associated Press, the European Press Photo Agency, the Anadolu Agency, Turkey, the La Agencia EFE, S.A., NHK, the Kyodo News Service, the Fuji Television Network Incorporated; the Everyday News, and the Yomiuri Shinbun.

After the visit, all participants commented that that they had learned a great deal and placed great value on the visit. A journalist from the European Press Photo Agency said, "I was impressed by the openness and vitality of XJTU. I wish XJTU early success in becoming a world-class university." A journalist from the Kyodo News Service said that XJTU is a well-known university in China, and plays an indispensable role in global economic and social development.
