On September 17, 2018, the Electrical Engineering Education Seminar of the series activities of the 110 anniversary of China Electrical Engineering Higher Education was held in XJTU.

In the seminar, XJTU Vice president Zheng Qinghua pointed out that the value of a university was not to tell students the reality, but to teach them the way of thinking. Under the background of the third education revolution initiated by information technology, university should reflect and adjust itself so as to meet the demands of this new era for the cultivation of innovative talents. At the seminar, teachers also expressed that moral education should be taken as the priority in education by making themselves as examples for students, and carrying out frequent communication with students. Linking theory with practice is as important as theoretical studies, and more focus should be put on practical teaching, so as to continuously innovate educational and teaching mode, and cultivate talents with global view, strong sense of innovation and leadership in industries.
