Sponsored by the Western Returned Scholars Association and the Foundation Prospective & Innovation, and undertaken by the Xi'an Municipal Government and the Sino-French Culture and Art Research Center, the 3rd Sino-French Cultural Forum International Think Tank Forum was held in Xi'an in September 2018. XJTU Council Chairman, Zhang Maizeng, was invited to the forum and delivered a speech titled “Gather in Xi'an and Share Progress of the Silk Road”. In concluding his speech, Zhang emphasized that all XJTUers firmly believe that the university will join the ranks of a world-class university, and their dedication to the development of scientific research and education. Today, we should further strengthen the understanding and consensus of constructing the Belt and Road community with a shared future for mankind and promote cultural integration along the Silk Road, making universities a “guiding light” for the construction of the Belt and Road and the Belt and Road community with a shared future for mankind.
