Four talents of XJTU elected to the Innovative Talent Development Program 2015 of the Ministry of Science and Technology of China
Currently, the candidate list of the Innovative Talent Development Program 2015 of the Ministry of Science and Technology of China has been released. Four teachers of Jiaotong University have been elected to the Leading S&T Innovative Talent, ranking the ninth in all the Chinese universities. They are Professor Liu Gang, Professor Liu Hongzhong, Professor Zhang Guanjun and Professor Wei Jinjia.
Professor Liu Gang has been elected to the Program for New Century Excellent Talents in University of Ministry of Education of China in 2006, and has been awarded Germany Humboldt Research Fellowships in 2007 and National Science Fund for Excellent Young Scholars in 2013. So far, he has published more than 100 SCI papers, among which one has been selected as the first author paper by the Nature Mater. and 21 by the Acta Mater. His papers have been cited over 1700 times by SCI and 25 times by H Factor.
Professor Liu Hongzhong, who was elected to the New Century Excellent Talents of the Ministry of Education of China in 2008, has been dedicated to the study of new theories and techniques of micro-nano manufacture in the recent 15 years and successfully achieved their application on engineering and industry. He has put forwards the new theory of the third generation nano-imprinting, namely the electricity-assisted imprinting and prototyping theory for the first time in the world, realizing integrated manufacture of the multi-material micro-nano structure. He has published 133 papers which have been cited 227 times by SCI. His research findings have been selected as cover articles by authoritative journals such as Adv. Mater(IF:17.5) and Adv. Func. Mater (IF:11.8).
Professor Zhang Guanjun has won the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars and five times first and second prizes of provincial and ministerial level Technology Advancement Award. Forty nine of his papers have been collected by SCI and 68 by EI. His papers also have been cited by SCI for 175 times and by CNKI for 500 times. Professor Zhang has been invited to give special report on IEEE and other international conferences for 8 times. He has obtained 11 authorized invention patents (four have been assigned) and owns 10 software copyrights. In recent years, he has been devoting himself in the research of high voltage insulation and discharge plasma features and their new applications.
Professor Wei Jinjia, who was elected to the New Century Excellent Talents of the Ministry of Education of China in 2007 and awarded the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars in 2012, has achieved significant results in the two-phase flow, heat transfer and solar thermal power generation in the energy and chemical field. Having published 96 SCI papers and 132 EI papers with 10 authorized invention patents and 4 Chinese and English monographs, Professor Wei has been enlisted into the list of Most Cited Scientist in the ESI of Thomson Reuters. He has been invited to give special and academic report on conferences for nearly 20 times.
