On October 22, 2015, professor Marcus W. Feldmanof Stanford University gave the 12th lecture on the Population and Social Policy Workshop, co-organized by XJTU School of Public Policy and Administration and the Population and Social Policy Research Center., while visiting XJTU.

Professor Marcus W. Feldman presented the Genes, Populations and Societies. In his lecture, professor Weldman introduced the method to distinguish the human races. He further pointed out that compared with color of skin and blood type methods, gene mutation-based analysis was a more effective approach.
