XJTU organized the International Conference in Big Data and Information Analytics
On October 18-21, the International Conference in Big Data and Information Analytics 2015 was held at XJTU. The conference was hosted by School of Math and Statistics. Nearly 80 scholars from York University, Canada, University of Kansa, United States, Ecole Normale Superieure, France, and Nanjing University, Peking University, XJTU and the Chinese Academy of Sciences attended the conference.
20 scholars presented on the conference, including XJTU academician Xu Zongben, academician Ma Zhiming of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, professor Wu Jianhong of York University, professor Jean Ponce of Ecole Normale Superieure and the National Information and Automation Research Institute, professor Zhou Zhihua of Machine Learning and Data Mining Institute of Nanjing University, professor Shi Yong, assistant dean of Graduate School of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, professor Jimmy Huang, professor Paul Ritvo, and professor Jane Heffeman of York University, and professor Lin Zhouchen of Peking University. The presentations are concerned with the latest advances and future trend in big data algorithm, machine learning, data mining, and biology math etc. The conference participants also engaged discussions on big data and data analysis etc.
During the conference, the first editorial meeting on Big Data and Information Analytics was held. The members on the editorial board discussed on how to run well the magazine.
