VP James Calvin of King Abdullah University of Science and Technology visited XJTU
On Oct. 19 afternoon, Vice President James Calvin of King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) headed a delegation to XJTU to advance institutional collaboration and faculty &student exchanges. VP Xi Guang met the delegation in Room 107, Science Hall. Deans from School of Electronic and Information Engineering, School of Materials Science and Engineering, and director of Department of International Cooperation and Exchanges also attended the meeting.
VP Xi Guang pointed out XJTU and KAUST shared many areas of common interest, hoping that the two institutions could strengthen ties and engage solid collaboration in joint research, faculty and student exchange and joint degree education etc. VP James Calvin proposed to collaborate at talent training and scientific researches and encouraged XJTU to recommend exceptional students into KAUST. The two parties also discussed the issues of knowledge transfer.
After the meeting, VP James Calvin delivered an excellent presentation on KAUST programs.
