On September 11, the first vice Chairman of Russian Federal Education Committee of State Duma headed a delegation to XJTU. President Wang Shuguo met the delegation. VP Xi Guang and Director Liang Li of Department of International Cooperation and Exchanges joined the meeting.

President Wang introduced the University Alliance of the New Silk Road (UANSR), hoping more Russian universities could join the initiative to exchange, collaborate and promote further development.

The first vice chairman expressed his interest in XJTU as well as the Chinese engineering higher education and called for strengthening further exchanges and cooperation.
