Yamaguchi University VP visited XJTU for broader cooperation
On June 15, Yamaguchi University Vice President headed a delegation to XJTU. XJTU VP Xi Guang engaged the delegation in a positive conversation.
VP Xi firstly expressed a warm welcome to the delegation. He introduced the profound history and strategic importance of XJTU. He further pointed out against the backdrop of deepened global integration and emerging Chinese economy, XJTU initiated the Western China Science and Technology Innovation Harbor and the University Alliance of the New Silk Road in an effort to explore talent education and business-academia collaboration, enhance educational cooperation along the Silk Road, and facilitate quality educational resources sharing. He encouraged Yamaguchi University to conduct practical collaborations with XJTU in scientific researches and faculty exchanges on the basis of enhanced understanding.
Yamaguchi University Vice President briefed on the educational history and scale of the university. He emphasized Yamaguchi University attached great importance to innovations and internationalization. The university has created an international faculty of integrated sciences, having earned recognitions from the Japanese Ministry of Culture, Education, Science and Technology. He further reviewed on the close collaboration of the university's faculties of engineering and economics with numerous enterprises at Yamaguchi on training talents and further educating employees. He hoped the two universities could broaden future collaboration on the basis of friendship.
