Professor Alka Acharya from Institute of Chinese Studies (India) visited XJTU
On 3 June, professor Alka Acharya from Institute of Chinese Studies (India) headed a delegation to XJTU. University Board Chairman Zhang Maizeng and President Wang Shuguo separately received the delegation.
President Wang expressed his warm welcome to the delegation and remarked both China and India are strong emerging economies and Sino-Indian relationship serves the interests of both countries. Hopefully the collaboration on the two sides could benefit the two peoples by promoting economic cooperation and social development through scientific researches. President Wang introduced the University Alliance of the New Silk Road (UNASR) initiated by XJTU and the building of sub-alliance by the School of Management and encouraged Institute of Chinese Studies to strengthen academic cooperation and exchanges with XJTU.
On behalf of XJTU and School of Management, President Wang and Dean Huang Wei signed with the Institute of Chinese Studies School of Management Letter of Intent on One Belt One Road Sub-Alliance of UANSR and MOU between XJTU School of Management and Institute of Chinese Studies, which also includes the co-building of New Silk Road Sino-India Development and Management Research Center. Meanwhile, the School of Management signed with Institute of Chinese Studies an executive training agreement for Indian state-owned energy enterprises and big corporate firms.
