Two projects of XJTU won prizes in the National Biomedicine Electronic Innovation Design Contest
From August 28 to 30, the final of the First National Biomedicine Electronic Innovation Design Contest was held in Southeast University. Two participating teams of biomedicine engineering program of XJTU performed well on the final round with excellent defense and demonstration.
"Low Power Consumption Heart Rate Detector" designed and completed by 2011 undergraduates Yang Huakui, Zhangxu and Boke (their advisers were Zhou Qinwu, Li Jin and Zhang Dalong) was recognized by the referees for its excellent performances and creative design in the proposition project group and won the first prize in China.
"The Design and Realization of Robot for Hands Function Rehabilitation Training" designed and completed by 2013 graduates Dong Xiaotong, Liu Xinrong and Li Chenxi(their adviser was Wang Jue)was recognized by the referee for meticulous design and wonderful defense and earned the second prize of China in the self-selection project group.
The National Biomedicine Electronic Innovation Design Contest was hosted by the Biomedicine Engineering Teaching Steering Committee of Institutions of Higher Learning under the Ministry of Education, organized by Southeast University and sponsored by Dezhou Instrument Semiconductor (Shanghai) Co., ltd. It aimed to promote the development of Chinese biomedicine engineering discipline, advance biomedical electronic technology, enhance related disciplines in Chinese universities and train specialist talents. The contest took the prevalent topics like human health, disease prevention, diagnosis, therapy and rehabilitation, with principles of employing knowledge to practice, combining production with study and fostering study through contest. The contest attracted over 1200 teams from more than 100 universities in China. After the preliminary selection, 25 proposition project groups and 36 self-selection project groups entered the final.
